Applications : 

1) Triruthenium dodecacarbonyl is a H-transfer catalyst and a carbonyl cluster precursor [Ref: Tetrahedron Letters 22, 1541-1541, (1981); Journal of the American Chemical Society 106, 4647-4647, (1984)]

2) Triruthenium dodecacarbonyl can be used as a catalyst in allylic amination of unactivated olefins by nitroarenes [Ref: J. Chem. Soc., Dalton Trans. , 2649-2649, (1988); Organometallics 18, 928-928, (1999)]

3) Triruthenium dodecacarbonyl can be used as a catalyst in the reaction of α,β-unsaturated imines with carbon monoxide and alkenes to form β,γ-unsaturated γ-butyroactams [Ref: J. Org. Chem., 2002, 67, 7014]
