This notice explains what personal data Synthesis with Catalysts Pvt. Ltd. (“SWC”, “we”, “us”) collects through synthesiswithcatalysts.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. We are the data controller for that information.

1. What we collect, and when
We only collect personal data that you type into a form. We do not buy data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
- Enquiry form (Contact page, “Request a quote/sample”, “Ask a chemist”): your name, company, work email, phone number, country, what you are interested in, the product or CAS number, and your message.
- Technical document requests: your name, company, work email, phone number, country and requirement. Technical documents are supplied after our team reviews your request. We also record which document you asked for and the page you asked from, so our technical team can follow up usefully.
- Newsletter (site footer): your email address.
- Technical information sent automatically by your browser with each request: IP address, browser user-agent and the page you came from. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived server logs.
We do not ask for, and ask that you do not send us, any special-category data (such as health information) through this website.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and supply technical documents — our legitimate interest in responding to a business request you made, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To send product and technical updates — only where you ticked the box or subscribed. That is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time; every email carries an unsubscribe route.
- To keep the site working and secure — our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. We apply a short-term, in-memory request limit per IP address; that IP is not stored with your enquiry.
Asking for an email before a technical data sheet is a deliberate choice: these are technical documents for industrial buyers and we want to be able to tell you if a specification changes. If you would rather not identify yourself, email us and we will send the document to you directly.
3. Cookies and local storage
We use an essential cookie to remember technical-document access after your inquiry is successfully saved. It expires after 90 days and contains an access grant, not your contact details. We do not use analytics, advertising pixels or third-party trackers.
We store one item in your browser’s local storage, called swc.lead.v2. It holds the name, company, email, phone number and country you entered at the document gate, to prefill future document requests. This copy stays on your own device and expires after 90 days. The server checks the access cookie before opening a technical data sheet. You can remove both by clearing site data in your browser.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions:
- Vercel Inc. — hosts this website, stores enquiry and document-request records in private cloud storage, and processes server logs. These records are not publicly accessible.
- Resend — sends enquiry notifications to our team and acknowledgement emails to you. It processes the email addresses and enquiry information needed for those messages.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.
5. International transfers
We are based in India and our providers operate globally, so your data may be processed outside your country — including outside the European Economic Area and the UK. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses in our providers’ terms. You can ask us for details.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and document requests — for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of our business relationship, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- The browser item described above — 90 days, on your device.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, to portability, and to withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing already carried out).
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you rights of access, correction, completion, erasure and grievance redressal, and the right to nominate someone to exercise them on your behalf.
To exercise any of these, email info@
8. Security
The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS), form submissions are validated and rate-limited, and access to our internal record of enquiries is restricted to staff who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us confidential technical information through the website forms — ask us for a secure route instead.
9. Children
This is a business-to-business website for industrial buyers. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on the page.
