Applications : L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative, involved in metabolism in most mammals, plants, and bacteria. It is involved in regulating energy metabolism in skeletal muscle and the heart where it is present in relatively high concentrations. It enhances the transport of long chain fatty acids into the mitochondria where they are oxidized for energy production. L-Carnitine shifts glucose metabolism from glycolysis to glycogen storage.
